Several months back, my son was reading through his children's Bible and came to me, saying, "Mom! There are so many things in the story of Moses that are like Jesus!" I've brushed the surface of biblical typology enough to know that the New Testament is made sense in light of the Old and the Old is perfected in the New, and that there are "Easter eggs," as I like to refer to them, hiding in the pages of these two testaments that are impossibly and beautifully woven together. But how to explain that to a first grader?
